Alexander Prison

Ziaiee School (Alexander Prison) dates back to the 5th century and is located in Yazd city, Imam village, and this work has been registered as one of the national monuments of Iran on March 1, 2007.

Background
Alexandria Prison, or Ziaieh School, is actually a school that was located in the Fahadan neighborhood of Yazd in the vicinity of the Twelve Imams. The building was built in the year 6 AH by the famous mystic Ziauddin Hossein Razi and in the year AH was completed by his sons Majduddin Hassan and Sharafuddin Ali.

Architecture
Parts of the building can be found in a well with a diameter of about 2 meters in the middle of the school yard that leads to a basement of about 2 meters deep, the height of the dome reaches 2 meters and has beautiful ornamentation with golden and azure watercolor. Much of it has been lost.

There are stories about this building dating back to the time of Alexander the Great's invasion of Iran, which was used as a prison, which was later converted and used as a school.

Ziaieh Yazd School is Azeri. The school is built in four stages. The first dome of the old house was built for the tomb and the school was not a school at the same time as the Mongol invasion. It also opens the door to the school. There was a teacher's roommate here, a little part of it. Unlike the teacher's house of Ibrahim Khan Kerman, which is found inside the school, in the same vestibule one can find the teacher's house. In addition to the porch in front of the chambers, the middle has four porches, which makes it four porches.
